Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains what data Mochi Analytics ("we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to provide website analytics.

2. Information we collect

Account data such as your name and email when you sign up. Analytics data about visits to websites you connect: the page path (we drop the query string apart from campaign tags such as utm_source and ad click ids), the referring domain (not the full referring URL), and approximate location and device. We use a first-party identifier — a random id stored in localStorageon the visitor's device, and in no other store — to link a visitor's activity, for example attributing a purchase to the visit that led to it. It is pseudonymous, is not shared across sites, and is not used to identify individuals. Clearing site data in the browser removes it permanently; it is not restored from a backup copy. If you connect third-party services (e.g. Google Search Console, Stripe, GitHub), we access the data you authorize.

3. Google user data

When you connect Google Search Console, we request read-only access to your Search Console data to display search performance in your dashboard. We use this data only to provide that feature, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate the Service. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings or by disconnecting in Mochi Analytics. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How we use data

To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, to provide the analytics and features you request, and to communicate with you about your account.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, and when required by law.

6. Retention & security

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and apply reasonable measures to protect it. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
